Before I Buy Swap Magic: Does FFX and FFX2 work?

I bought version 2 of swap magic ages ago to play my Jap imports of FFX and FFX2 on my US PS2 but they didn't work so before I buy the latest version I'd like to know if these two games work.

Are they backups? If so they should be properly backupped. And also, Im not sure about US consoles.. but I can play JAP and US imports in colour on my UK console when I use SPECIAL BOOT (square) In any case I'm guessing it's either your console or the backup. Not the software. And if so, it may require a swap-magic patch. - http://www.swapmagicfix.com ;)

They're not backups, they are originals. Will they work with the latest version of Swap Magic?
