my burner is LG and o/s is win 98.

1/ my recorder is pioneer dvr-220s and recorded some tv shows with -R
When i ran dvd-shrink or DVD Decrypter, both programs say dish is empty. any software can help ?

hi

only a guess here but i think your recorder is a standalone tv one? if so they make files of type dvd VR? or something like that? there are 2 types i think one finalises the discs, so no more writing and the other type keeps it open to add more files?

but you need certain software to use these type files! which i am not sure of but if you see BBmayo about ask him...

hi. i think you are right. this afternoon i put -RW into tray and
set - initial - video to record 5 min tv show. and backup again
to my hard drive and now it is good to go.

thank again for your help. so far i recorded all 100 disc from
this dvd recorder and not aware of this VR setting.

i think the keep open one use can use a dvdr aswel as rw and keep adding then close when done!
