do you have to have winhiip on the ps2 hdd as well or just run it off the computer an thats it, because i know with ftp programs you have to run the ftp elf, then the exe on the computer, so do i just need winhiip on the pc or on pc an ps2 hdd to transfer games

Nope ya don't need it on your ps2. All you need to do is put the ps2 hdd in you pc as a "slave" and use WinHIP to transfer games to the ps2 hdd.

Hi. p4_tt:
when you copy(god of war) ISO image to ps2 HDD, what mode(1.2.3) you click in? i did with mode1+mode2+mode3. after finished but no running on ps2. can you help?

God Of War will not work with any mode you need use the exploit in thred, thing is thou you need to put the ps2 hdd in the pc and use WinHIP thats the only way it will work along with the exploit, @ janthan yes you will need to buy a modchip or swap magic to set up this exploit if thats what you mean.
DVD9 games will not work with normal hdloaders.

Hdadvance is a disc used to format normal hard drives into a ps2 file system that will be able to run games, thou if you had swap magic you could just make a exploit cd with a free hdloader that will do the exact same thing as hdadvance (if you use the 1 in this thread you will be able to play dvd9 games which hdadvance can't) both hdadvance & swap magic are widely available on the Internet, what country do you live in?

with the help of exploitstation.com

i still got problem to run GT4. i follow you introduction to copy GT4 to HDD. but after ran game it show up title then black screen. is any mode(123) i need to set on? please help. the GOd of war game work very stable.

Did you use the most up-to-date WinHIP? Also are you using the elf file listed in this thread, what version are you using PAL or NTSC? So far i have only tried this with the PAL version., also what hdd are you using?

i used WINHIIP 1.7.3 and eif file is HDLoader Including Dual LaYER Patch. GT4 NTSC version. HDD matrx 300 GB.

I only tested it with the PAL version and i don't know any1 with a NTSC version. I will have to do a bit of searching and get back to you.

using my created HD Loader with DL patch
you dont even need those waste of time instructions on how to flatten it
you just transfter the NORMAL full image of GT4 to the HD with WinHIP
promise ;)

i did like you way to transfter to hdd but it only ran up on first frame(some title) then went to black. ofcause i used hdloader with dl path.

with me it works
im not using a elf tho, i m using a real dvd veriosn i made of HD Loader with DL patch
make sure you choose mode 3, and in the options try to play with 'kill HD loader after launch'
with me the PAL worked, maybe NTSC is diff

i only own 1 ps1 game (final fantasy 7) and if i use the SLUS # off of that CD will i be able to play it n e more or will it boot to the memory card exploit? thanks

to get a memory card explot to work do u need a new hard drive yes or no also are u able to use the reguler ps2 hdd to put games on or any files one more thing is it possible to use a copyed psx game as the trigger dics
