I have come across two sepparate files now which have contained .GI files and I have no idea what the Hell to do with them?
It seems a program called Primo DVD deals with them but I can't seem to get any info on that either.
Any help on what to do or where to get Primo would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

if you want to burn it you have to use DVD Decrypter...
but if you're using swap magic, then you have to open it with isobuster, extract it, edit the dummy files and rebuild it!!
(3 gb of garbage.... :S)

.gi is called global image
its like an iso to some
or a bin cue to others
it takes all of your cd or dvd and becomes a .gi
its from a program called sonic record now max 4.5 or above
its now called sonic record now dx--
its actually an awesome program---

wow thats a tuff one
also i know that the newer versions of sonic record now
when you go to make an image of a game dvd---it tells you the out put
filesize and one time i compared it to the actuall dvd size
and it was half a gig less then the original game
and a warning came up for the program saying
some dvd contain material and copyright blah, blah, blah
and may not save correctly---it did say that so i always use decrypter to make an iso---cause the output file size was gonna be less that meant not all the info would be there--so maybe the person
did it like thre times (just throw it away and back it up another way) i would

i have sussed it,
the first time i didnt get the small file i needed to act as a cue for the rest.
if you have a set of gi files,u need to burn the smallest,as in the same way a cue file is to a bin file,or an mds is to an iso.
