I use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter for all my burns. I am now encountering a problem trying to burn ?Lemony Snickets?. I?ve uninstalled DVD Decrypter and Shrink, still doesn?t work. I?ve tried decrypting main movie and that doesn?t work. I tried to re-author and can?t add. Every time I try to decrypt it stops and can?t read a file. I skip or abort and keep or delete that file. These scenarios have worked in the past. Not this time, cause when I try to shrink I get: ?Failed to get authentication key?
When I try to just shrink, I get:

theresa24,
As of this date DVDD is totally up-to-date as far as ripping is concerned. The pple having trouble may well have a "Dodgy" Disc. The log you included seems to bear that out. Return that disc for another OR try a disc from a rental store.
I hope that helps,
Pete

Thank you for your reply. I actually found out that some of the "LS" DVD's came in with problems. I am trying to borrow another copy now. By the way, if you don't mind answering me this question. What is a "Dodgy" disc? Thank you again.

Does Hitch have the same issues? I have noticied that so many people have problems with that disk backing it up? Is there that many bad pressings out there?

I haven't heard of any mfgr problems with "Hitch".
The things I hear about that flick are from pple who don't use the proggys correctly OR cannot be bothered using a guide.
Use DVDD OR AnyDVD and lower the disc size and burn rate along with the use of decent media and all generally runs smoothly ~
Burn on,
Pete

Hi emeraude, welcome to aD,
Many of our new members are afraid to "jump" into DVD burning and choose speed and simplicity over quality and control.
When you try to rip an episodel DVD and all you get is coaster after coaster OR when you tire of hazy pictures and want your pictures to be clear and sharp AND when you tire of those rare but annoying "blocks and artifacts" in fire, smoke and action scenes, come on back and we'll hook you up with some excellent software that won't take $$$ from your pocket, is easy to use and will give you a better backup with just a few mousie-clicks, we'll show you what it took us years to find. Ooohh, yea, you can leave your intellect at home cause you don't have to know anything to make super backups, all you need to do is follow directions -
Burn on good guy, burn on . . . . .
Pete
