loveya,

You need to be more specific on what you mean by edit and view. I explained how to do both of these in another post and you said it wasn't what you were looking for. DVDRemake = edit. WinDVD6 = view from hdd.

Loveya,

We do havbe rules here and one of them is to not double-post - meaning don't ask the same question in two different places.

If you just wish to cut and paste different pieces of a video - use either DVD Shrink in the re-Author mode OR Nero's Recode2 in the Remake a DVD Mode.

Cheers,

Pete

let's see do I want to be bad or good....BAD yep. Anyhow...Seems like you have to solve the first issue before you can worry about editing the thing. I mean if you can't even view it then how the heck are you going to edit it? You should be able to open your media player and then open the files that Shrink made.
Try this:

Open Windows Explorer.

Shrink will have made a VIDEO_TS folder so you need to find that.

Click it to open.

Find the file called VTS_01_1.VOB try clicking it and see if it opens.
If it does not open or you get some error mesage then...

.. try right clicking it. Select "Open With.." from the menu.

From there just browse until you find your media player.

Click your Media player and it should open and begin playing your movie.

Once you get to this point we can worry about editing it.

Mort probably explained all this to you but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth as well.
