if youre trying to do a movien then there shouldnt be any .VOB files larger than 1024MB (1GB). unless you somehow reencoded the video into one VOB (why you would do that is beyond me)then you shouldnt have a huge VOB file.

That is a good one. How can you end up with a single giant .vob like that? Maybe coastin is just referring to his entire folder.

coastin, your .vob should be in a folder with a few other files...well it might be....if there are some other files can you list them?

Maybe someone is holding him hostage until he burns his big vob.

Download dvd decrypter and dvd shrink. Click on the guides tab on the top of the page to learn how to use them or use Pete's guide here.

Edit: both these programs are free and can be accessed by clicking on the programs in blue letters or the software tab at top.

Sorry coastin for me and all my cohorts having fun at your expense. It always seems unsolvable when you are the one with the problem.

The reason I asked for the list of files was to verify that you did not have a giant .VOB. Which you don't. Which is good!

Mort has the answer and of course we will all be here if you have any other issues or problems.

jfuse just joins mpeg and .AVI which would then be split into compliant .VOB files during the authoring process. Looks to be a handy program if your movie DL comes in parts though. I don't think you could ever get a "big vob" out of it.
