yep my ps2 can play backup games.

i just dont understand why the gt3 backup wont work?

it burns just fine on the computer, but then after, when i put it in to the ps2, then it loads but after like 5 seconds, it will just say "Unable to read disc"

try using a diff brand of media, maybe better quality. games require better quality than movies, dont know why but i use yudens for everything now, but i have about 100 memorex dvd backups, all work fine tried a ps2 game on them and got 3 coasters. so im guessing its the media, unless you have changed somehting in your process since the last game you backed up on your computer. hope this helps. a great place to get real ty is supermediastore, and theyre cheap.

yeah if it is memorex good chance its cmc mag which is usually no good. do u have dvd identifier? if so run a check on who makes the disk.(disk id) if not u can get it here:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm

the best thing to do when starting out is try a bunch of 5 packs to see which setup your burner/ps2 like the most. u can usually never go wrong with taiyo yuden though, and they are pretty cheap right now at supermediastore.com if u dont want to order online, try fujifilms at best buy. look for Made in Japan though-they are best. stay away form made in taiwan. verbatim data life plus are highly respected as well. let me know how it goes-and good luck

that would be my guess. if u dont have the money just try some small packs-i think its like 10 bucks for a 25 pack at best buy right now. if yudens work then 100 are like 30 delivered form online.

I have GT3 backed up on a memorex dvd-r and it works just fine......instead of using DVD Decrypter...use Nero instead and burn it at 2x speed...and it should work if not then i have no clue on whats the problem
