all my games are set to dvd-r/+r should they be set at dvd-rom. my nu ddw82 usually auto sets it. would dvd-rom bitsetting be better for playback/compatibility?

On my setup I can only change the Booktype using +r discs.
I have been using Verbatim (mcc) +r and Fujifilm (YUDEN) +r,
For my movie and ps2 game backups.

I always change the booktype to -rom whenever possible.

I mostly use dvd shrink (Movies) and dvd decrypter (ps2 games)

I always change the booktype.
It makes the movies more compatiable with older stand alone dvd players.
It doesnt do much for ps2 games as you will still need boot-discs,
or a modchip to play ps2 backups.

YES
