ok i have these italian movies saved as files burned on cdr and i used divx to dvdr. When i try to play it in my player it doesnt read it anyone have any ideas????

What were the file formats before conversion (e.g. mpeg? dat?)?

Just browse the cdr. But if they are dats, there's another method that you may try:
1) convert the dats into mpegs using VCDGear
2) burn with Nero or any other programs.
