How do you know which mod to get for a ps2 &
where to get it?
I copyed a ps2 game with DVD decrypter
butt it will not play it says to put a ps2 formatted disk in .

What version is your ps2?

You need some sort of boot device to play ps2 backups I.E. Swap magic or a modchip, swap magic works well with alot of peoples ps2's.

Load the ps2 up without a disc and wait for the screen that says "Browser" & "System Configuration" highlight system config and press triangle and you should see something called Console SCPH-xxxx

I also have that model. Are you looking to get a modchip or would you rather using something like swap magic?

Swap magic is easy to use and only requires a slide tool or a fliptop to play backups, however dvd9 game do not work with it.

Modchips are the most easy way to get any game working, but the ps2 does have to be opened and the modchip put on to the ps2 motherboard.

Swap magic is a easy way to play backups all you is put it in the ps2 press start wait till it loads up then use either a fliptop or a slid card to swap the disc for a backup and your all set to play your backup.
