Hi, i am new to this. i hav swap magic 3.6 and want to backup my Chaos Theory disc. i have dvd decrypter and when i put it into my drive (dvd rewritable) it wont come up as recognised by DVD decrypter so i cant start to read the iso. any ideas as to why it wont read the PS2 disc?

im not one to down a product as most are at least descent,but ive heard nothing but bad things about samsung drives.but im sure it can record games.try some more backups(of different games) so you can get a better idea of what is wrong.trying one game will leave you grasping at straws.

yeh i have tried a few games, it just dont seem to want to read them at all. any suggesstions from anyone (other than get a new drive)?

Does this only happen with ps2 games? You could always try some firmware but be carfull because using the wrong firmware can damage your burner, if you are not sure then do not use it. *Use At Your Own Risk*

i wasnt telling you to get a new drive(although if cant even read a disc that is pretty bad)just letting you know samsung has gotten alot of bad reviews.

1.do you have another cd or dvd drive on the pc?

2.see if the disc will read in windows with DVD Decrypter off
