If heard of 123 dvd software and know of what your talking about. If you live in the US it doesn't have a ripper available when purchased. I guess you Have to download it from some website.I just read something of that matter from PCworld magazine.

I've heard that National Treasure is another movie with the runner in green shorts found under unreferenced material (same as Bourne Supremacy, and a few others). Backing up entire disk may therefore be a problem for shrink, but doing reauthor movie only should be ok.

123 DVD Copy is another program like DVDXcopy, whose company is out of business. This program is being sold retail because it does not include decrypting function so it is in compliance with MPAA rules, supposedly you can go to the 123 site and get what you need to enable decryption. The retail version will only copy unencrypted DVD's. You can do the same thing with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and they are free. Here is an article on the program

There is no special protection, problem with National Treasure. The runner in the green shorts is on Universal pics, this is a Disney. I have Region 1, and it breezed right through Recode2 with AnyDVD.

I backed up full disk (US), minus commentary and otehr sound tracks other than 5.1. I ripped with Shrink then burned with Nero 6 Ultra Edition. Play back is beautiful, no problems to report.
