This game worked fine for me also running on a V4 PS2 with a DUO2 modchip. It also worked fine on my friends slimline PS2 running SM3.3. No patch/rebuild was needed.

I used RitekG05 DVD-R for this game. Go on DVD Decrypter, mode....>iso read. Select a folder to store the ISO. Click the green arrow thing. Then once its done, go onto mode Iso write. Browse to your ISO you just made. Select the burn speed, think I did this game at 2x although I cant remember. Either 2x or 4x. Click the green arrow thing again and your done.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I've gotten to about level 7-8 or so and I've encountered a couple of problems with my backup of this game. The problems have to do with the game freezing when loading up a particular level or freezing during a cutscene. It doesn't happen all the time but here are a couple of places it happens and under which conditions:

Level 4: (Anakin) Battle with Dooku-

OK if you let the movie play for a little bit before you load the level it's cool, but if you try to replay the battle after dying and skip the cutscene right after it starts, the game tends to freeze while loading up the battle. Let me know if this happens to anyone else.

Level 7:(Obi Wan)Not sure

I just got to this level and it froze the first time through. It starts out with obi wan and anakin on a balcony talking in a clip from the movie. About 15 seconds in it just froze in the middle of the clip. Only played it once though so I can't tell if this was just a one time thing.

I will keep it updated with any more freezing issues. I burned the game twice and both backup copies freeze in the same places under the same cirumstances. If you get to the 4th level try skipping the cutscene immediately and see if it freezes during the loading screen as well. Maybe this is an anti-mod we haven't seen yet.

I had it reading at max and burning at max on SONY DVD-R media, but this game read very slow for some reason. I remember it reading at about 1x-2x and burning at about 5-8x. I just played through another session but tried the 2nd disc and it didn't freeze on level 7. Still weary though. I've seen most people burn and read at 1x is that for reliability? Cause the game copied fine and loads perfect it just freezes in some spots. What do you recommend?

@ jhunter,

is your PS2 a PAL version? is the version of star wars youre trying to backup a NTSC version? if so, that may be your problem there, its not cross compatible like that.
