To all the gamers here that have Swap Magic 3.3 + TV (NTSC) and download the game that is available only in PAL format like me, the game is NOT WORKING as someone here said.

I burn my image yesterday at 2x using a Verbating DVD-R and guess what the game runs but "black and white" I boot the game in "PAL Mode" and "Special Boot" with the same results.

I lost a DVD-R and my time, to follow someone opinion here.

I will wait for the NTSC version or aplly a path to th image.

Lesson learned i suppose, don't trust what you download.

Not everyone here is looking for pirated material. Might want to read Rule #5 before posting a link to that download, if that's what ya had in mind.

I've patched my PAL version to NTSC using ps2_ntsc2pal_yfix program
(search the boards it's here somewhere)
and now the game is playable in color and is not jumping on my screen

PS2 SCPH 50001 v9/v10
Ps2 Hdd LAN Adapter
Swap Magic
Chipmod (yeah it's a clone, but it's working so far)

I know about the "ps2_ntsc2pal_yfix " but you change any setting in order to get color and the screen in the middle? Or you just apply the patch with the default settings???

Please let me know the game looks killer, and I can only see black and white stuff...

Doesn't matter the setting for getting color but
I tried changing the settings for screen adjustment but that didn't seem to do anything at all.
So yeah the screen isn't centered, you can't see some of the bottom of the screen but you can definately play it, and yes it is a killer game.
And I don't select the p/n selector thingy :p

Hey dragulaAC
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I have been using some Datasafe media which shows up as Ritek Go4 on Alcohol 120% I have done quite a few Back ups of my originals and they work perfect except Star wars Battlefront where some of the sound has stopped working, but it has been used a lot. With Episode III I have used loads of different ways of burning but I always get the same results. Even the original does the same now. I have a Muppet Mod chipped ps2 and pstwo and both behave the same.

ah, hmm, if your original is doing this, then the best backup you can probably make of it will do the same. It's been a while, is the original disc dirty/scratched at all? Might want to clean it before trying to read the image again.

Hi all

A am having problems with star wars III - Revenge of the Sith too.

I always use decrypter to back up my games (2X)

I've got a messiah 2 mod chip and i only use Ritek GO4's

This game is like the punisher and Terminator 3 ganes - problematic

The dic eror message is constant and like others i don't watch to wasre disks on a game like this.

Not sure how many others are also having problems ? Any solutions ?

this can be related to region settings,
are you using a scart lead,?
is the ps2 the same region as the game?
it can be media related, depends on what you mean by flickering
if the screenis like "jumping",i would say its a simple case of getting the region correct,a scart lead,or converter may solve this

what region is the ps2?,is it a pal/ntsc
what is the tv?
and what is the game..>sles/slus

remember how old tv's used to have knobs which let you move the screen up and down? my episode 3 looks like someone keeps flipping the knob. It
may by my media, i think it isnt dvd+r, which is what i payed for. as i said earlier, there are no marking at all on disc. I may try Alcohol 120 with memorex dvd+rs which usually work for me. thanks.

i personally used Nero to burn my copy and works perfectly. no DVD Decrypter or anything. just did a straight dvd copy(which i found this is by far the easiest way to copy games). one click and done.
