CAN'T CAPTURE LIVE VIDEO IN VIRTUALDUB

hi,
i got the 1.6.3 virtualdub. when i get to the capture mode, i get no camera signal. the camera, firewire cable and card are o.k, so what's wrong? why can't i get the picture?

Did you select video source as 'camera'?

it doesn't seem to show a camera option. but everything seems to work fine.
by the way, with other programs it works fine (premier, conopus ect.).

Well First Off this Version is an Experimental version so all features don"t work Properly....

Secondly the Only way you will be able to Capture from your DV Camcorder is useing the "VFW" Driver mode and in that Mode you can only capture Video and No audio and in the "Direct show" driver mode you can not capture anything from a DV Camcorder useing Virtual-Dub...

All of this Information is in the Release Notes for this experimental version of Virtual-Dub.....

So basicly you are "S.O.L" when it comes to captureing from your DV Camcorder with this version of V-Dub... I suggest you use whatever you were useing before....
