Noticed when i backed up my copy of National Treasure, that there were 2 titles under main movie, but it is a full screen movie, and upon viewing both the files. they seem to be both the same. Both are full screen, no special endings (That i noticed)and so forth. Could someone please expain what the difference is ? or why there is no option to pick the second file on a stand alone player, or is this something just to double shrinking time ? Hate to bother you guys with such a trivial question but i am curious. By the way, the movie backed up fine, just took almost 3 hrs. without any deep analyisis. Thanks in advance for your time and your responses

Did you possibly check to see if the language is different. I remember one of the Star Wars dvd's had 3 titles on it. One was english, I think the other 2 were spanish and french or something like that. I was able to tell by the story line writing floating in space at the beginning.

sure did Jerry, like i say they both seem to be the same movie, it is as if shrink just doubled up the main title both are exactally the same length same aspect ratio and so forth. beginning to think that it is something to increase encoding times lol. thanks for your reply. Also seems to me that if there were a difference between the 2 titles, that there would be a way to wiew both versions on my set-top player but there is no option to do so.

The only difference between the two titles is french credits, this was done with Troy to, I did backup of Title One using Decrypter and Recode2 it came out great.

I used DVD Shrink and Nero on the first title only. They were both the same size.It may be different camera angles?
The last movie I encountered with 2 movies was meet the fockers. It had 2 titles, same size, and the second title were different camera angles. The entire disc backup I didn't prefer with the camera icon popping up all the time, and it would pause at those spots so I couldn't tell if it was a media problem or just the different camera angles causing the pausing.
Main pc,as listed on my specs: It took 35 mins to encode and burn at 4x with main movie only.
My backup pc,598 mhz/256 mbs ram/- Took over 9+ hours just to encode using shrinks max smoothness setting for entire dvd.Total waste,on this pc, LOL

I wouldn't worry about the space for the second title. In reality very little of the video will be duplicated (just the credits probably). Credits in different languages are usually done using multiple angles but the majority of the title is a single video stream and not duplicated.

I am trying to copy National Treasure and I cannot - I have only done this 3-4 times and have had no trouble copying other movies. I sent it through the DVD Decrypter and then tried to use DVD Shrink and it errors and tells me there is not enough room on the disk - can you tell how you copied it? I tried removing the other languages.
Thanks.

All i did with my copy was to remove the French AC-3 5.1 audio and then removed all the subtitles except for the english one, that is the process i use for all my dvd back ups

To gain more space, I like to delete the audio from the second title. Most of the time it's the pan and scan mode, which I do not use.

Usually when there are two titles present I get a redundancy error. By reauthoring and choosing the bigger of the two files I get a pretty good copy of the movie only.
