Hi,

Has anybody with a Duo2 SE got a DVD+DL backup working (using the Toxic patcher).

I have this chip but have heard that it reads pressed DVD9 only. Is this due to the OTP/PTP issue that is bypaxssed by the patcher, or is there an actual problem with this chip in reading DVD+DL?

If anybody has some info, it could save an expensive coaster for me!

Thanks very much,

I have a DUO2SE installed and I managed to backup Gran Turismo 4.

What I done was:

1. Create the ISO and MDS file using DVD Decrypter
2. Applied the Toxic Patch
3. Burned the revised image to Verbatim DL+R DVD using DVD Decrypter

@rob2010

Use DVD Decrypter to extract the Dual Layer Image from the Gran Turismo DVD. DVD Decrypter will read both Layers on the DL disc whereas some ISO creators only read Layer 0 and not Layer 1. Run the DVD Dycrypter EXE, click Mode on the Menu bar and select ISO - Read. Set the Destination and required file name. Finally click the large image which shows a DVD pointing to a Harddrive

The resulting ISO should be over 5GB in size. DVD Decrypter will also create an MDS file. This is a small file containing info relating to the ISO image

Download the Toxic Dual Layer Patcher(http://www.ps2nfo.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=442). You need to be registered at this site in order to download. Alternatively it can be downloaded here (http://www.soledadmiranda.net/private/ToxicDualLayerPatcher-v1.0.zip)

Extract the contents of the Toxic Zip file and have a look at the read-me file before starting

Run the Toxic exe and point it at the MDS file you created earlier
Run the patch fix and you should quickly receive a success message

Using DVD Decrypter (in conjunction with a DL+R DVD and a DL Burner) burn the revised ISO to DVD (It mentions in the Toxic Readme about changing the Book Type from DL DVD to DVD ROM but I couldn't do this but it had no ill effects. Click Mode on the Menu bar and select ISO - Write. Set the Source and Destination. Finally click the large image which shows a Harddrive pointing to a DVD
