does anyone know of a way to backup the newer games without using the Nero method? I find that Nero is switching the order of the files that I'm dropping in. Or is there a version that doesn't invert the order? or am i just going crazy?

dvd decrypter is for games that do not need to be rebuild.
use Nero for when rebuilding games.

(*when you drop the files to Nero it doesn't place them in order is you have to drop the files in order*)

Hi
I have made a succesful copy
1 i extracted all the files using isobuster into a folder
2 i edited the dummy file making it 1kb
3 i then used the udf iso option in Nero and dragged the files across in the order they were in isobuster (keep it open as a reference)
DONT WORRY ABOUT Nero REARRANGING THE FILES FOR YOU, THEY WILL BURN IN THE ORDER THEY WERE PLACED.
4 burnt the game at 4x using infinti samurai discs
5 booted with swap magic 3.3 on slimline ps2
Hope this helps!

Hi
I am using minus discs, what are you trying to boot the game with? Mod chip or swap magic and what version? Check the disc size mine is 4.35 gig. Always use good quality media the ones i got were £8 for 25 which is a bit steep.

i really does hope this helps you guys...

at first, i've tried everything from rebuilding the iso, and changing the dummy file to 1kb...but to no avail, i always ended up with 'not a valid ps2 game' on my swapmagic 3.6; However, i tried to patch the game, and to my amazement..it worked!

this is how you do it.

1. Use DVD Decrypter to create an iso image.
2. Use the patch for shadow of rome. You can find it at www.ps2nfo.com
(to apply the patch, you use a program called ppf-o-matic 3.0)
3. Use DVD Decrypter to burn the image after the patch is installed

walaa...you have successfully made a back up copy of shadow of rome
