sudenly the gamecube stoped working :'-(

Hello,
Here's my problem: I played today a backup. After a small break (turning GC off then after 5 minutes turning on) the Cobra Bios doesn't started and the GC bootet directly to original GC-Bios.
The bad thing now is that the drive didn't worked after this "accident". No laser working, no spinning of the disc...
The only thing that happends is the rotating of the cooler... :-(
Any clues or ideas how to get my beloved cube back to life? Is there a way to order a replacement drive or something like that?
It would be very kind of you guys if you could help me.

ah and btw: No i haven't tweaked my Gamecube's laser.

sorry,kA jetz wie man des auf englisch erklärt,aber wieso schwer wenns auch einfach geht x)
ich hat mal das selbe prob,als ich mein cube das erste mal aufgeschraubt hab,da hat sich nen kabel gelöst,sonen einfaches aber,was man wieder "einklacken" kann,musst aber dazu des ganze dvd-laufwerk rausschraubn,sonst sieht man net ob das kabel lose in der gegen rumhängt
hoff mal für dich das es nur dieses kabel is

Thanks Anoobis, but i've found the solution. The yellow cable of the Viper Chip lost its contact... Now my girlfirend had repaired it and the cube runs fine :-)

ha ha ha your girl friend had to repair it you may want to think about learning how to fix it your self next time your freinds might seem to think your a bit of a wimp if you can't do it your self

Nope, her fingers are thiner than mine and so it was easier for her. And btw: She's studdying electrical engineering.

Maybe not related to this thread, but whatever. As far as i know there aint any new consoles on the way from Nintendo, but i'm sure they will come with followups after DS. My guess is that as long as there is a market they will allways come with new products.

no i haven't heard about it before now :) Checked a bit around and it looks like 2006 could be a nice year:
"The next-generation Nintendo console, codenamed Revolution, may not be shown at this year's E3. Eurogamer reports that the Japanese console maker is going to keep the console under wraps to keep the features of the new system out of the limelight a little while longer. From the article: "Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata is worried about rivals nicking all his best ideas at this early stage. That's how revolutionary the new console is, apparently... and also the exact same line Nintendo used to avoid showing Mario 128 at a previous E3."
