First time use Swap Magic 3.6 Plus &Flip Top.....Please I Need help badly .....

Please I need help badly on this Swap Magic 3.6 Plus & Flip Top version 9 thing. Evidently, I'm new to this so please forgive me. Well, I've been to this forum for quite awhile now and have learned that you can backed up PS2 games and boot with Swap Magic with Flip Top after market modifications. Anyways, I've just received my order from "consolesource.com" today. I bought a combo with "Swap Magic 3.6 plus & Flip Top." My PS2 version is 9(US), I backed up the game with "Nero" successfully on a "Maxell dvd-r 4X." However, I'm still clueless on the procedures on how to back it up properly.
First, I got the Flip Top replaced correctly. Secondly, I put the Swap Magic 3.6 plus DVD disc in my PS2 via original load/unload tray, then I press [X]for NORMAL BOOT [I also did a special Boot too [O], it did its thing/it flashed, then it went back to the main page of the Swap Magic DVD Disc. I unloaded the Swap Magic disc, closed the tray, then I open my Flip Top and put my backed up game on, closed the lid. It's trying to read now, and afterall it showed a "Not a valid PS2 disc." Obviously, there is no "manual" or "tutorial" on the Swap Magic Plus showing on the steps/procedures on how to "boot up backed up games" at all. Can some experts in here help me please? What am I doing wrong? My question is.... is there any other software besides Nero Ultra on [copy DVD] can do the job better. Is there any special steps I need to perform, and if so then please tell me. I really need to know this in order for me to play my backed up games. I've google and navigated the net and a lot of people said; Nero can backed up games without issue. Therefore, I decided to back it up with Nero. All your help is greatly appreciated - and I'm truly apologize for the long writing. Please anyone/anybody tell me the steps on how to boot up games using "Swap Magic 3.6 Plus with Flip Top" properly. Again, thank you all!!!
By the way, my Nero version is the newly upgraded "Nero Ultra." And YES.... I did tried both the "CD & DVD on Swap Magic 3.6 Plus" still no luck.

you don't hit eject, then put in your backup. Load swap magic, open the top, insert backup, hit x.

Thanks for your help. So now do I load my Swap Magic 3.6 plus in the original load/unload tray, or do I load it using the Flip Top? I'm trying to understand your answered here, did you mean that I put my Swap Magic into tray and load it, then take out Swap Magic by opening the Flip Top, then put backed up copy in while top is open, then hit X to boot right? I'm really confuse here. I'm sorry for asking too much, but I just want it done the right way. Again, thank you.

Yes. When ever you put in a backup, you cant hit eject before you insert it.
