Hi guys, I have just receive my PS2 flip top cover w/ SMD plus 3.6 for v4-v7 that I ordered from gocybershopping.com. When I ordered, I accidentally put my version as PAL. Is there any problems witih that? I think mine is NTSC. I live and bought my PS2 in the U.S. Any help would be appreciated.

When you load your Swap Magic 3.6 Plus DVD disc in, after a few seconds it will load and the main page appeared. Now use your controller to go down to "Normal", and you should be able to change the boot method into either PAL or NTSC. Hope this help. I've just received my order from "consolesource.com" yesterday and I've finally got it to work. Much thanks to "SLY_61019" for helping me out on how to boot up properly. Now, I'm playing my backed up games happily.

Yeah.... he[Sly] seems pretty cool. Hey, I was wondering why didn't you go with "consolesource" instead you went with "cyber"? How much is yours including shipping total? I know "cyber" is a lil bit cheaper, and when that guy put down the link - it was too late and I put my order already... oh well. Anyways, I put my order on 5/3/05 like 2:00am and got it yesterday 5/6/05 at 12:00pm - exactly 3 days for me. Everything comes to $40 including the 3-5 days ups shipping - which I think is not that bad at all.

I went w/ GOCYBERSHOPPING.COM because they have faster shipping. Mine take 1 day. Though you have to pay extra $$. I end up paying $45. And quess what, you have to login when you want to order something. That mean you have to create an account.Dam^. Take very long. So's when you get to the payment form,it's freekin' confusing.(I want to kill myself over that) I don't have patient. That's why I said this forum need more people to help. Take ages to answer a thread. The DVD forum is fast, it take like 5 mins. for peo. to ans.

I know what you mean. There's a lot of newbies and experts at the DVD-R sections - including me, I go there a lot too, and yes... it seems pretty fast in addendum to replying and helping others with issues. Well, I'm no computer genius or expert here, but I will try my best to help as much as I can with all the knowledge I've acquired alright. Now back to the subject, like I've said; you should be able to change the format into PAL/NTSC/AUTO in the "NORMAL setting" when Swap Magic 3.6 plus load. At least for mine, I was able to do it successfully. It shouldn't matter though because it's the Swap boot disc and not the PS2.

Good luck on playing back up games...!! By the way, when replacing your Flip Top (PS2 v7), be very careful not to pull/rip any wire/cable wire. It was stated in the instructions that it's a little complicated than the v9-10. Luckily mine was a piece of cake.

There's a bunch of wires alright. Luckily my uncle is a expert at this. I'll get him to do it for me. Hope that I can play the back up games. :)
