This happens with the original iso. I tried two different discs of Forza motorsport and they both gave me the black screen.. Can you help me please?

Calm Down and try this:
Load up MSdash and switch language to any other. Then switch off and on again and go back to ms dash and select original language. Then restart with Forza.
Worked for me first time with HDD and DVD backups
Good Luck.

Hey! mnstar will that work with other games too. I can't seem to play need for speed, Splinter Cell, MechAssault 2 and other games on my harddrive, do you know what wrong? Please read the Forums under Xbox - Hardware boot discussion "games on my harddrive" Thanks!!

1) Those are more recent games and may need to be patched.
2) Try clearing your cache files.

They so are not recent games. They are old as hell. The problem probably is that 1097420 hasn't set the Game region settings to "Auto" they are probably still set to "NTSC" or "PAL". I've ripped both Splinter Cell and Need For Speed Underground and neither one needs a patch.

Is Forza Like GTA3 and Rallisport 2? has the clock set issue? Some games give the DD error unless you set your MS clock
Backed mine up (Forza) works fine.
Have you backed up other games too and do you get any issues with them?
I think Quad was under the impression he meant Splinter cell Chaos btw, thats why he said they were new.

That's exactly what I meant. I know that they were more recent games and might need patching. I don't have to patch because my bios patcher automatically does it, so I wouldn't know.

I can't play Forza as well, and i don't understand how to load MS dash.. i don't think i have it anyhow, i have an upgrade HDD with XBMC only (and other utils).
What can i do? any way to copy and load ms dash myself? somehow?
P.s. the game ran once and then it stopped from working... very weird.

to get forza and many many other games working you need to set the game region settings in evoX to "auto"

even though you have figured it out, I'll post the instructions in here anyway for everybody else who comes in.
When you are in EvoX go into System Management / System Settings / Video, and set "Game Region" to "Auto". There problem solved. So far this has Fixed problems with Playboy the Mansion, Forza Motorsport and a couple of others that I can't really remember at the moment.

To be honest, i use xbmc and there is no such option to set game region, however i found out i am missing the regiongame line in the evox.ini. more over that wasn't the problem.. the language really did it for me, i found out i have to run xboxdash.xbe for msdashand play with the lang settings.
BUT :) the regiongame = 0 line i added helped me run Bloodrayne 2 i thought was simply damaged.. so something else came out of it..

Yes i get the same problem as well. Its states "Theres a problem with the disk that you are using, its either dirty or damaged"...
I did all of the above. And it dosent work. I am wanting to run it off the HDD.
