I'm converting an AVI File to DVD Files using Divx to DVD, and i've gotten a message in the log that says 'Frame #118546 decoder exception [Invalid floating point operation] Discarding the packet'.
I was wondering if anyone would know what this means. I'm hoping it doesn't mean that the program is leaving scenes out of the movie i'm converting.

from what i understand, dvixtodvd is dropping frames it doesnt like, allowing the conversion to continue, which is hardly noticeable on play back

What happens is, most times if you download that AVI file onto a CD, It'll freeze, the sound may go on but, the image tends to freeze.

By discarding the 'milli sec' packet, the DVD flows on, and has been said by others, without notice.

happy burns :)

run the AVI through divfix first then encode it!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Thanks for the replies. Got through the burning and everything ok, and it's not noticeable on the DVD itself. However, the quality....could be better. But I knew that before I actually started the whole process.
