Seriously, I haven't had 1 single unsuccessful burn in a entire 50 pack of these. And that includes movies and games.

And The best thing. There only 17 dollars.

Maybe I'ts my computer, But I dont' think so. Cuz Memores messed up 10% of the time.

But STAPLES are perfect.

The Staples Media are Staples Media brand, that doesnt mean they are manufactured by Staples. They could be outsourced to a manufacturer. See this http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm The brand means nothing as it says, the media ID it what matters. Could you download this http://www.cdfreaks.com/software/60 and let us know what manufacturer code it gives you for those staples.

Please use something like dvdinfopro. Its a free sortware you can google to find. It would be interested to see who the made the disks. This makes a big difference becuase different manufactorers have different quality/control guidelines that make a big difference if that disk you just burned will work 6 months to a year from now. I have learned the hardway many times. aka Memorex!

From my own research, I think that the Staples brand DVD's are manufactured by Moser Beaur in India. I think, not certain. run dvdinfo to check it.

get dvd identifier ( http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com ) ITS FREE
And find your 'MEDIA ID'. Thats whats important.

Just a matter of time before you run into problems.
Especially backing up ps2 games on those media!

http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

The following list is in preference order. The best discs are near the top of the list. Almost flawless burns with 95-100% reliable results:

MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2

I don't know what media code you have and I used Staples 4x DVD-R a few months back and they totally sucked. I didn't know what media code they were but they ended up only working on 1 out of 4 DVD players that I tested them with.
