Hi folks, this is my first post here.
I just thought that I would post my method of playing my backup games.
(which are infact backups of my own legally owned games, pirates DIE !!
I have a new Slimline PS2 and didnt really want to get somebody to open it up and start soldering chips in there! So I did my homework!
I now use Swap Magic 3.6 cd/dvd and a "Slim-Tool"
Basically the slimtool makes your ps2 think that the door is closed so you can swap your swap magic with your backup, and heypresto!
The site where I bought them has full instructions and diagrams, the best thing is that you can take the slimtool out and you would never have known that it was there!
Maybe this has been out for a while and I am just getting excited over something that everyone here already knows about!
Anyway, I hope to visit here often so if anybody has any questions, just ask.
here is that site with the instructions
http://www.swapmagicuk.net
You can also buy the set here, hehe I should ask for commission. lol

http://www.mod-chip.com also has those and then some for PS1, Xbox, Gamecube, etc... I received my slim tool and discs for the non-slim PS2 today, but haven't tried it yet.

@ Dannn
Let's have a look at the forum rules - multiposting isn't allowed. This also smells alot like advertising to me so let's take the link out of your sig and make some contributions other than recommending that site ;)
My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

you need to have the switch part(c) on all the time. i took my ps2 apart and saw that there is an actual small mechanical switch inside the ps2 that the lid when closed pushes on the mechanical switch. But i had a problem with that piece of poop plastic switch part (c) , so i opened my ps2 up and taped the mechanical switch down. on my ps2 i had to void the warranty , but i only have a cheap 3 month, its not like 1 year like it use to be, but i heard of a person on the site that did it without voiding it, but i was tired and royally pissed. A good thing about tapeing the mechanical switch down is you can close the lid, i heard that you can close the lid with the, switch part (c), but i doubt it, my way is smooth. hope i helped out.

swap backup.
so basicly what i did is got a dvd ps2 game and phisicly cut out the part where the bad sectors are read and pasted on to the backup copy of the magic swap. its highly effective. i been making them for a good while now. this idea just struct me one day. u can get these codes from a demo. so incase u dont want to destroy a ps2 game try using a demo. the code is located in the middle of the disc. so u'll have to cut a little circle and past it on to the backup. try it, it works. the ps2 reads the bad sectors and then it reads the information wich the magic swap program is burned on then u swap it. if u dont believe me try it ur self. k bye
v12 ps2
