I am new to the dvd burning game. I use dvd shrink to compress my files. I save them in iso format and then try and burn them using dvd clone. Its a new computer with a DVD+ and DVD- burner but the dvdrom is a DVD- drive. I bought 50 sony dvd+R discs. THe process works fine until I go to play them. One movie plays perfectly fine for 5:29 and then freezes and another movie plays for 11:29 and freezes. Please tell me I didn't just but 50 coasters. Any suggestions? Also I don't have Nero and the disks do the same thing in the Rewritable drive when I try and play them

what kind of media are they?
what speed are you burning at?
have you tried to make VOB files with DVD Shrink?

There DVD+R 4.7GB. I use DVD Shrink to make them into ISO files. I have used dvdcone to try and copy, and have also tried dvd decypter. I have tried burning at all speeds. One movie I burned at 8, 4, and 2. I usually use 2X but the movies always mess up in the same spot of the movie no matter what the speed. Each movie messes up in a different spot. I've tried saving to the harddrive then burning and also direct burning. None seem to work and my coaster collection is fastly on the rise.

download a program called DVD Identifier. Then use it on one of your blank discs and find out who manufactured the disc. Hopefully it's not CMC, but find out and let us know.
