Shrink doesn't burn, are you using another program to burn with Shrink? I had this problem with Xcopy, it would write lead in and eject stating the disk was complete.

No I no longer use Xcopy, lack of updates, and you cannot control burn speed. Have you updated the firmware on your burner?

What kind of drive do you have and how old is it? The firmware update will help your drive read newer disks. Do you have Nero Info Tool, this will identify your drive and what firmware you have, or you can download program DVD Info Pro which will give you info on your drive.

If you have Nero use the Info Tool, or download the DVD Info Pro. It should tell you the your drive and after that the ver. of firmware for your burner model. Then go to the Benq site and check for your model and ver. of firmware listed. Have you ripped the movie to your hardrive with Decrypter and then used Shrink to compress and then Decrypter to burn?

Quote: Firmware
Let's check for up-to-date Firmware for your burner.
"OK, so what is this "Firmware" garbage?"
Fair question. Firmware is a "tutor" who's job it is to "introduce" all the different kinds of media to your burner and to tell your burner a little bit about it. What type of media it is and at what speed to burn it.
As new media is introduced OR, as the manufacturers of your burner find new ways to use it, new Firmware updates come out to "school" your burner, keeping it up-to-date.
What firmware do you have? Download this Firmware tool and find out. This tool will check out your firmware's health (up-to-date wise).
You can probably get a current upgrade here The Firmware page at RPC1
Firmware, You can't burn backups without it! Keep yours updated !
