I have been getting a lot of emails about the SAME questions for my AIO PS2 DISK. The disk itself can be found here
http://members.shaw.ca/PS2_BOOT_CD/
If you have questions about getting things to work please ask here. Hopefully other members that have/are using the disk can help answer some of the questions.

I got it to format the hd but everytime I try to copy
a game to hd it says "Not a valid PS2 disc error?
I was able to install the Star Wars PS2 game because that was only a CD, not a DVD. When I hit Play, the screen was black and it did not load.
It seems I need to make a DVD boot HD Advance, not a CD boot. On the link you gave me it said how to make a dvd disk but I could not get it to work.
I am using SM 3.3
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

you need to set the mode on the star wars game. To do that go to the game on the list then press select. Then hit X on the correct mode. CXheck the compatibility charts on the net to see what mode you need to enable.
The hdloader will load ANYthing at all. But you CAN NOT load a backup game into it with only swap magic. The ps2 checks the disk when you press the eject button and hdloader wont allow it. With my mod chip I can keep ejecting the disk and after 5 or less tries it will allow me to install copied games.
If your games are originials and they are not letting you install them then just try the eject button and install combo a few times. Eventually it iwll let you put it on.
Otherwise use winhiip (supplied) and transfer it from within the pc.
ALso there are 2 versions of hdloader on the disk. Make sure you are using the NON DVD9 version for regular ps2 games. Sometimes the dvd9 patched version wont allow regular games to run

the exploit does not install to the hdd, it installs to your mc. Make sure you have a memory card in slot one when installking the exploit. Also make sure there is room on it. If you get an error of a file not being able to install it means the mc is out of space, or you have a problem with your exploit. Check how you burned it and make sure that the file is actually still in the folder that it is trying to install.

Double check that the file is on the exploit cd in the install folder.

I have a V4 modd PS2. I followed the directions for AIO boot disk with mod PS2, it will not read in the PS2. I have tried different media, tried burning it DVD. No luck. My ps2 plays the Retail HD Loader, and a whole host of burn'd PS2 games so I think I am doing something wrong...I basically drage everything over to Nero and burn it...any suggestions? Thanks

you are supposed to read the read me files. After you read them all your questions should be clear. There is nothing else you need to download to make this work. Just follow the instructions step by step as you do it. It will work every time.

the only version that the mc exploit won't work with is the slim ps2, but any of the fat ones should work. it works with my v9 so its supposed work on yours. try it again, if it still doesn't work try using another psx game as the trigger disc, because there are a couple of games that just won't work as the trigger.

esco,
You finally got the exploit to work then? was it just the trigger disk that was your problem?

you only want to drag the contents of the aio disk folder onto your disk. Make sure that all the .elf programs are in the root of the cd, as well as the system.cnf file. Otherwise it will never boot.

Well I had already tried with FIFA 2004, Metal Slug X, Marvel VS Capcom, and LOADED. And all of them load normaly. Do you think you can create the TITLE.DB for me and then you send it to me. If you cant is kool but I really need it.

demonkill,
Download the file and read the readme file for installtion. If you cant even do that then dont bother with my disk!
Esco,
It looks like the games you listed are not PS1 games. I was not aware that fifa 2004 was a PS1 game? your not trying to make an exploit cd with a PS2 disk as your trigger are you?? Cause it will NEVER work if you are.

FIFA 2004 is a PSX game not a PS2! And I know the difference between PSX and PS2.

Hi
Ive read through the instructions that came with the download and Ive skimmed through the boot cd threads but I didnt find anything that helps me. Im having trouble getting this cd to work. I have a v4 ps2 with a no swap modchip installed. The laser reads backups fine as well as originals. I am however buring the cd on a macintosh computer using an application called toast. I have tried burning it under the regular data mode and under the iso 9660 mode. The files once dragged and dropped always end up in an alphabetacal order,I have not manipulated them whatsoever. I have tried burnig the cd as slow as 1x speed, still no result. What should the expand size of all the files be? Also I noticed you mentioned somthing about having the system and boot files in the root of the cd..can you clarify what you mean buy this. If I am just highlighting and dropping shouldnt they already be in the correct order? Thanks for your help.

mikey,
No need to send me pm's, emails, and post here.
I do not own a MAC or have even sat in front of one before. Usually mac users own those because they dont want to run windows. I was under the assumption that they also knew computers enough to handle any incompatibilty problems.
Regardless of the problem here is the best I can do.
For something to be at the root of a CD it would mean when you put it in the cdrom of your pc and open the cd up to view the contents it would be right in front of you. You would not need to open any folders or do anything special to see the files.
So make sure that the system.cnf file as well as BOOT.ELF are both on that first root. I really cannot explain how to make the cd any better than what I have in the read me's.
I am at over 11,000 hits to my site now. If even only half the hits represent a download then I guess out of 5,000 downloads only a handful having a problem is not bad.
My advise is to get a windows emulator, download a trial version of Nero and then follow my instructions in the read me. It should then work. There is a reason I dont provide support for all the different burning apps. Frankly I am not paid enough (NOTHING AT ALL SO FAR) to provide support for this cd.
Its funny how out of 11,000 hits not one person has even donated $1 to me, but yet I get emails all the time asking for help.
