try getting the latest version of Nero. you may be able to get a trial version. Otherwise there are copies around in bittorrent you could "try"

Sorry for the stupid question but
Quote: Using FTP clients on the PS2.
You will find that inside the folder for the boot cd is a file called
IPCONFIG.DAT This file is used by faplink to access your ps2 IP address.
It is set right now for your IP to be 192.168.1.100 If you cannot make
this your ps2 IP then you will need to change it BEFORE burning to disc.
The format for the file is like this
i cant find IPCONFIG.DAT anywhere oO Do i need to make a new one or is there something wrong with the file i got?

Hey All,
Well I hate to admit it but I'm a newby to the PS2 hacking world, I've onw my ps2, since it was first released and jsut installed a HD and modchip last week.
Now I have hdloader working and a couple of games installed and I need now is a way to access my PS2 via ftp. I've downloaded Stinky's disk and
used the direction to create the iso via cdgenps2. The cd boots fine and start launchelf, but all that is listed in the menu is select: config
The instructions say to copy the DUMMY file first then the .cfg and boot.elf, I don't have a .cfg just a system.cnf ??? what am I missing
Thank
Frenchy

you are almost there!!!
Why didnt you try pressing "SELECT" so that your could "CONFIG" your launchelf app to run the different programs? It doesnt come setup from the factory. You would have know this if you read the readme that comes with the install instructions.
Just incase though I did find a useful site for explaining how to use launchelf. Maybe one day I will get around to adding it to the files. I have lost ambition for the project though because I thought everything was crystal clear about things and people still seem to ask questions that I ALREADY typed up a readme on.

Hey stinky,
the disk works great, also is there a way to get back to the MAIN MENU of the disk where you choose what you want to play (mp3s,snes,etc) instead of having to reset the ps2 EXAMPLE the sega genisis games are gettin boring and you want to play the snes.?

alien,
No there is not and never will be a way to do that. You would have to program the app itself to include a command for that, and the various programmers have no need to ever impliment it.
You coul try wiring a reset button out to your controller. That way you wont have to get off the couch.

Im new in to this ps2 slim section, and am planning to buy one this weekends. I already had a 200gig7200rpm hardisk and and external usb2.0 case. I have some questions though, hope you can help me really:
(1) The retail store that i walked in told me that they are using NH9 mod chip, would stinky's cd boot works fine with this?
(2) If I used the 200gig HD, would it be possible to partition first the drive and alocate certain percentage of it specifically for ps2? or it will use all of the space?
(3) If im through with the ps2 games in HD, would it be possible to reformat back again to PC's NTFS system?
(4) I've read that it can play divx files on HD, well thats cool, can anyone confirm this?
Thanks in advance! Hope you can help me here.

If you dont have a ps2 yet I would recomend you try to get your hands on a fat one. Not only will it fit the hdd inside it, but the load times will actually be MUCH faster.
In fact on the slim ps2 load times from the hdd are slower than just using the real disk. If you are getting a mod chip anyway you may as well just run the backups right from the system.
Any mod chip that supports direct boot of ps2 cd based games will work with my disk set.
no, you cannot partition the hdd and use some of it for ps2 and some for the pc......at least there is no real 'easy' way to do it. I am sure somebody somewhere has done just what you are asking about
Yes you can always format the hdd and use it in your pc whenever you want. you will just lose everything that is on it for the ps2 though.

Hi Guys, I am newbie on all this trying to hook an usb HDD on my ps2. I just burned AIO on a CD and runs pretty good on my PS2, but went I go out always said Quote: SAVE FAILED
. I am wonder what is the amoung of space required on my MC to burn that on it. And besides that I have not PS1 game where I could get the Title.db or system.cnf to make my own Exploit.
So where I could get a title.db to make my Exploit and what is the reason of my AIO does not save my configuration on my MC.
ciao,

you need a ps1 game to trigger the memory card exploit. a title.db file should have been in the exploit installer folder when you got it. you just have to modify it to recognize your ps1 game. so read the instructions and get a ps1 game.
Damn...

I'll help Stinky (can't be your real name?) out on this one.
"So where I could get a title.db to make my Exploit and what is the reason of my AIO does not save my configuration on my MC. "
You need to go to launch "file browser" (2nd last folder on the bottom) and press "L 1" to create a new directory in your memory card call SYS-CONF. Then it'll save the next time.

A notice to anyone that is thinking of posting questions on here about my AIO disk.
I will be changing the format of the website. It will have NO possible way to contact me from the site. And anyone that asks a question on here that can be found by just reading will get no answer from me, or anything pointing you to the answer.
Support for this CD is going to be a PAID resource. Over 20,000 hits to the site and I have 1 person that has sent a donation.(thank you BTW)
I said before I do not intend to get rich off this, but if you expect me to help you with your stupid trite questions then you better expect to pay for it!
I can tolerate laziness if it means I get a reward (in the form of money) If you expect ANY help for free, then you better start reading. All the questions that need to be asked about this disk have been asked on this thread or this one
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/12/160935#1206124
If the answer is NOT on ones of those 2 threads then it is already documented and printed in the READ ME's for the disk set. I have NOT heard a NEW question in about 5 months now. So you can understand (hopefully) my frustration with this.
I wanted to help out the community by putting this all together. I made the disk for myself first, then offered it to others for free.Do NOT try to take advantage of my niceness by being lazy on your end.
To all those that have helped out and pointed out issues and made requests for the next set I Thank you. If you wish to answer some questions that people have then you are more than welcome. Just that MY personal support is being pulled.
If you have any questions about this Cd please READ READ R*E*A*D!!!!!!

Leo,
If you dont have a trigger disk (PS1) and you dont have a mod chip or SM then I guess you are S.O.L!!!!
Do you want me to come to your house and let you borrow MY ps2 maybe? COz thats the ONLY other way your gonna get this disk to work.
I may be able to do a lot of things, but there are ONLY sooo many ways that you can make a burned game run on a PS2. And if you are too cheap to even buy a $5 PS1 game from a pawn shop for a trigger disk then I guess you will have to make due with what you got. (or dont got in this case)
