I have spent a few hours digesting the AfterDawn guides and trying different approaches, but I am having no luck burning DVD9 discs using a combination of DVD shrink and Nero. First I copied my DVD9 disc to the image recorder, then burned the image using Nero onto a Samsung Pleomax DVD+R disc. Everything seemed to go smoothly, no error messages or glitches, yet the final product is an empty disc.

I then tried again, this time burning direct from the source drive to the target drive. This time there were Video and Audio folders on the final disc, but they were both empty.

I have also tried copying the DVD as Video TS files on the hard drive and burning from there - same result.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice would be appreciated as I have reached a dead end on this...

you dont want to put a dvd9 disk on a dvd-r as there will not be enough room. dvd-r are only dvd5. you need a dl dvdr and a dual layer burner. have u got these?

Yep, I copied the original DVD using the DVD Shrink software and then tried to burn image/video files using Nero (sorry, should have made this clear in my original post).

you could use DVD Decrypter. Click Mode/ISO Read, read original disc, then Mode/ISO Write, find the MDS file (not the ISO file) and burn away. That should work for you.
