I'm trying to create a backup of MC3 Dub Ed. I set it to ISO - Read then on the next screen it gets up to about 84,000 kb then stops, continuously retrying. About 9 minutes has passed by and it's at 1% at 84,768kb. What's up? Should I leave it for what seems like hours to do or is something wrong? (obviously?)

it has a little bit of use on it but honestly, there isn't any serious damage that i can see in the way. it is possible of course. I was also thinking is there a... (pardon my lack of knowledge for correct terms) security on the disc preventing any backups?

my copy backup up just fine and didn't take any longer that normal. It shouldn't be taking that long. Try cleaning the disc first and then burning it, or even using another program.

okay, here's my (updated) problem. i've managed to get the disc copied (supposedly) but whenever i play it on my ps2, it goes from the "Playstation 2" screen, as if it's loading, to a black screen. i've had this issue once before. not all of my backed up discs but just one other and I haven't figured out this problem yet. it's not the console, it's the same stack of discs (it's not a new brand) and three separate programs.

i don't know what that other game (an older one now) and MC3 have in common that just doesn't want to work.

i've tried dvd decrypter, alcohol 120% and nero.

gah! i just don't know anymore!
