Is there a link where I can read why it's done, how it's done and any info on it? I would appreciate it, as I keep seeing where people "rebuild" ISO's, but have no idea why or how. I assume the "why" is because there is some code in some games that screws up the process unless you rebuild it.

there are tutorials here on rebuilding an ISO

You have to do this if you use Swap Magic discs rather than a mod chip for some games. Some games have dummy or garbage files that need to be replaced in order to get it to work.
Some people also do this because it will cut down the size slightly and some games just get a better quality burn from rebuilding the ISO.

So if I use a chip, I won't have to worry about it? Cool. Also, is the success rate of backups with modded systems fairly high? I decided to do the chip instead of swap magic as I found someone local that would do it for $40.
