I have had this error with a sonic brand of software and roxio software (7.0). My burner is a nu dvdrw ddw-082. One thing I have noticed is when I use a dvd+R it craps out. But I can write after with a dvd+RW.

This is the error message I get:

Could not complete last command because: device error - sense code(5 21 02) - invalid address for write incremental - streaming write (dvderr, 336130)

I have tried reading up on it but could'nt make sense with anything I read.

hi

use dvdinfo pro or dvd identifier to get id codes! or you could load to DVD Decrypter on iso read mode and read the panel to the rightside.

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

@dadjaws - Memorex = crap media - that would appear to be your problem.
There are masses of posts, on here alone, that condemn Memorex to the bowels of the earth. You've half answered your own question when you said a rewritable worked ok.

Try some better media that's recommended for your burner.

Found what i think is the latest firmware here -
http://www.nu-global.com/admin/download/file/NU-DDW-082-B377.zip from - http://www.americal.com/dvd-burner-compat.html#nutech - i looked in there for clues for media recommendations, but am still not too much the wiser. the history file within the zipfile recommends some horrendous media, such as cmc, princo, optodisc and a lot of others i've never heard of too.

Have a look here too - http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DVDnameid=164&Search=Sear...

See what you can find in there for Verbatim Datalifeplus 8x, that's probably what i'd recommend, maybe +R. (as MCC media is recommended in the history file, i'd go with that for now)

Here's a few to look for -
Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R 8x (MCC.....003)
Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R 8x Advanced AZO (MCC.....003)
Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R 8x Printable (MCC 003)

Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD-R 8x Advanced AZO (MCC02RG20)

- and i'd burn at 4x and see how you go
