If buying from a store like Best Buy, Staples etc. pick Fuji - they are usually manufactored by: Taiyo Yuden, MCC, Ricoh Japan, Prodisc, Fuji Film. Stay away from Memorex!!!
As kenneth1 said use TY. They can also be bought at http://www.supermediastore.com/... & http://www.meritline.com/....

Here's a good media guide. http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm... I agree, TY, Verbatum (MCC), Fuji, Maxell, and most Sony. Stay away from memorex.

memorex badddddddd....TY good~ :) check my sig. TY and Verbatims is what i suggest. as others mentioned, if buying locally, look for made in japan on the spindle near the barcode...fuji as well as sony made in japan are also taiyo yudens~ :) TYGO2 or YUDENT02 coded on the made in japan ones.

Recommended Media:

Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

You have to find the ones marked "Made in Japan" as stated above.
your links dont work because of the .... you have at the end of each one.

All the Fujis at Best Buy on sale for 19.99 for a 50 spindle will br ProdiscF01 with the dash media ( Made in Taiwan ) and the +media are Yudens made in Japan. I have been to three BestBuys and I can't find any dash media made in Japan. However, if you are really into using dash media, Rima or Meritline have great deals on Taiyo Yuden dash media in 50 or 100 spindles. I think you can probably get 100 TY-G02 for less than 50.00USD.

LOL, i agree with you there Jim Dandy~ that last post of yours was very much like my barbarian/cavemanesque quote a few lines up~ :)
i am in no way implying or suggesting you are not a classy guy, i just found it amusing that we both related the subject by simply stating the facts in a very direct, but primitive form~ :P
