I have burned many many dvds before and this has never happend to me before....Ive been using my pioneer dvr 109 for awhile now and loved it but i recently reinstalled windows xp clone dvd, any dvd and nero. everytime i use clone dvd to read a disc it reads perfectlly fine everytime but when i insert the disc, within a few seconds it has an error and the disc is now usless. it will still burn the disk if i tell it to write again but ends up with a disc error in a dvd player. Then i'll put another disk in and it burns fine and works fine.....Even nero burner between 6-9% will fail the burn and usually invalid block error. All i have added to my computer was microsoft antispyware. I'm gonna uninstall it and try again, hope it fixes my problems...Im just wondering if anyone has heard of any reasons this can be happending to me....Thanks for the help

Did you Google for the answer to this problem?

Just a shot in the dark, but if it worked before and doesn't work now, suspect driver issues.

Good luck with it, without log files we can't really help much.

I like you use MS Antispyware although I've not found any probs with it as yet.

LivnDGirl has a good point (drivers) Win XP has a vast driver array however certain components may still need their own drivers to function properly after an operating system re-install, the motherboard drivers for example. Are you sure all your drivers are installed and up to date?

Also a bad install can cause problems for you if you've just re-installed the operating system over the top of the previous one. I always format the hard drive/partition where the Windows operating system is going to reside before installing it. This way you'll get a clean install.

try posting a relevant section of your Nero log - it's in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log or similar. Please remember not to post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar. All burns, good and bad, are logged to this logfile, so just find a relevant section..
