is there a way to safely downgrade firmware to 1.00.
if you go to www.psp-hacks.com, and go to the downloads, they have a ton of cool games like a maze game tetris a nes emulator and a gb emulator all safe and working. you just need to have the v. 1.00 firmware.
can i completely reset the psp so its like opening it from the box brand new?

All U.S. PSP's have v1.5, there will soon be a downgrade patch maybe?

I hope so because that would suck if you can't hack the US version of the psp.

thats not possiblle for 2 reasons.
1.all U.S psp's come with 1.5 firmware standard.
2.nearly all psp games need you to upgrade to play them.

Maybe i am a idiot too but that doesnot sound like a bad approach to the memory stick issue Flex. Someone will hopefully figure everything out soon.

You may not be able to downgrade the firmware, but I'm fairly confident that someone will find a hold in 1.5 that will let you run code... Think about the Xbox, and how many times Microsoft changed stuff around. The hackers still broke into it, though.

well you cant just run firmware like that you need a installer and that installer has to have a sony digital signature so sony has to make it pritty much and they will not do that

if you could access the firmware files you could edit every 1.5 to .9
then it would update to 1.0 if you had the installer

yes ture but the whole problem with v1.5 is that you CANT acsess it so its a Solution olnly posible with a different solution posibly a more complicated one then you could edit it that way so it would be easier to dowgrade

Unfortunately there is no solution to your problem Js_boy. There is no way downgrade firmware or run homebrew on 1.52. Only way back is buying a new one with older firm :/

You could guess that they are already trying. But in future all games will have new patches to fix new security holes that are discovered. At some time there's a version that can't be hacked. Usually everything can be hacked but this is different. Or they will come up with something unconvenient as swaploit that will bust your ms and psp in a week. I think that hit games such as gt4 and gta: lc stories are going to include and require at least that 1.52 patch (or even newer if that is hacked), so there's not going to be many psp's with 1.0 or 1.5 around. So let's enjoy (those who haven't updated) while it lasts.

1.TAKE A HAMER
2.HIT EM UNTIL There's like a bounch of lil peces.
3.Then Make ur self as a drugdealer and buy a brandnew one before SONY START SENDING PSP WITH 1.52 FIRMWARE.
