I've just finished downloading Star.Wars.Episode.II.Attack.of.the.Clones.2002.PAL.DVDR-TBVCD. I can view the img file that I've extracted using Winrar and I can play it on my PC. No problems with codec or anything. So, I decided to burn it on a CD-R (700mb) and watch it on my DVD player.

The thing is, I clicked "Burn Image File on Nero but the whole thing is in 4.27 gigs! Now, that's not enough for say at least 2 CD-Rs. So, what I'm trying to say is that can anyone help me split this img/dvd whatever lol file into at least 4 CDs so I can view it on me DVD player?

I'll appreciate any help/views given. Anyway, there's two folders in the img file. AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. There's no file in the AUDIO_TS folder but there's a few in VIDEO_TS folder. Here's the screenshot. Also, it's a pain trying to view it in parts.

hi

so its a dvd basically and you want it on cdrs and not dvdrs?

then you will need an app that goes dvd to SVCD (can your player use SVCD ?)

i have never gone this route, but look for dvd to SVCD apps on search

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Okay, so I'll just burn it on DVD-Rs? No need for re-encoding or stuff? Oh Btw, thanks for the reply.

If your file is under 4.3 then you can just burn to a dvd +/- r.

A typical blank, single layer 4.7 GB DVD holds about 4.36 GB. When measured correctly.

A good way to start burning is by using DVD Shrink with DVD Decrypter.

Good guides listed in arniebear's signature.

If you do not have a DVD burner you cannot burn to a DVD disk. Since you have Nero try going to http://www.nero.com, and read through the guides for Nero burning rom, and how to make VCD or SVCD.

You will need Adobe Reader to view the PDF file.

DVD-R:
Benefits: Better DVD playback compatiblity within home DVD players.
Drawbacks: Older technology and less money behind the format means that they come out with faster media and burner technology slower. You will frequently see DVD burners that will support (for instance) 16X DVD+R and only 8X DVD-R.

DVD+R:
Benefits: Faster speeds, more inovations like Double Layer discs (8.5 GB)
Drawbacks: Will not play is some home DVD players. If you know your home DVD player will play DVD+Rs then there is no reason to not use them
