My question is that is there a way to actually go online without being caught. I patch a game with the correct last three values out of the five and used the first two values from a game of mine. it goes like this:
BEGiINNING DISC ID FROM another Game 12:34:xx:xx:xx
Original LAST THREE VALUES xx:xx:11:22:33
ADDED TOGETHER TO FORM 12:34:11:22:33

THOSE ARE FAKE IDS BUT I THINK YALL GET MY QUESTION

basically yes thats right but make sure your patching it for the right region and the first two sets it XX:XX:12:34:45 im talking about the XX's here it has to be hex values http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Hexadecimal.html

But Also Which way to Patch a Regular backup to you recommend

I uses the imagepatcher but i have never tried going online with it.
My wondering why this
http://ps2nfo.com/imagepatcher.html is more complicated than the imagepatcher one.
There must be reason because one is like a simple 4 step and the other long 10 steps.

well the image patcher sometimes doesnt work on newer games but the id insertor does so thats basically why theres two. Just check on forums first that might give you the heads up on the info you need before you try it but you know its up to you really.

Sony does not check which ID belongs to which game. What it means is that if u patch Devil May Cry ID over Kill Zone, as long as it is a legit one, Sony will take it. So my advice is go buy a crappy game, super duper cheap one, use that ID and patch it to all the games you have.

no your wrong there most recent games with the latest DNAS library do the check that only works with a small handfull of games

well im sure you could do that to few games like use a burnout 3 id for another game like killzone i cant list them all as i havent that good a memory. But i do know TS3 this ddint work with as i tried it myself i have also asked in chat on IRC about this and it doesnt work with any of the games with Ver 3+ DNAS but i think its pre 2.8 or 2.6 it can sometimes work with.
