Hi,
After receiving quick responses last time I had a question. I'm hoping someone out there won't mind helping me again. I use ImTOO for ripping and I also have AnyDVD for the protection. I have an old laptop with only a cd-rom drive so I want all my shows/movies in AVI so I can take my puter anywhere I want to and watch. I have some DVD-R's with rips on them that I got from someone. I want to covert them to AVI but when I try to rip, they either don't finish ripping and finished or not, they have ...for lack of a better description....hiccups every 3 seconds or so in the sound. Any advice on settings, programs to use, etc would be much appreciated. I realise not everyone uses the same programs to rip but, aren't there some standard settings and guidelines to follow? I really would like to understand more about the settings but everytime I try to investigate, it's just too complicated. To be honest, anything but running programs is too much for me and I've been using puters a long time. I just don't understand HOW they work. Ok, enough out of me, thanks in advance for any help.

Set the AVI video codec as Divx and give it another try. I use AoA DVD Ripper and divx codec, it works well till now.
