i dont think so because they are pressed discs which are made differently, and burning from a dvd burner is sloppy and cannot recreate the accuracy
only was i know is too buy another set...sorry
unless theres a MC exploit but im not into anything like that, dont really understand it

what would be the point even if you could you would still need the originals to boot the backups. The memory card exploit is a good way to boot backups all you need is a fliptop/slidecard and a high TOC (disc size) ps2 game.

hi, i have found out a way of playing magic swap backups with out a mod chip, and with our the original magic swap. i thought to my self that if it is reading the code in the middle of the dvd ps2 game thats where the bad sectros are at. so what i did was cut around a original ps2 game that had the bad sector code out in to a little ring, and then i got some super glue and pasted it on to the magic swap backup.
so basicly what i did is got a dvd ps2 game and phisicly cut out the part where the bad sectors are read and pasted on to the backup copy of the magic swap. its highly effective. i been making them for a good while now. this idea just struct me one day. u can get these codes from a demo. so incase u dont want to destroy a ps2 game try using a demo. the code is located in the middle of the disc. so u'll have to cut a little circle and past it on to the backup. try it, it works. the ps2 reads the bad sectors and then it reads the information wich the magic swap program is burned on then u swap it. if u dont believe me try it ur self. k bye

Could you post a pic that shows exactly where you cut?

respect the forum rules or leave. how can you hope to get help when you need it if you can't act like a decent, mature human being? there's no excuse for behavior such as your's.

PS2 games are actually pressed DVD/CD discs, they are not burned. PS2 games use the Burst Cutting Area (BCA) of the disc to identify themselves to the PS2 unit. The BCA is not part of a disc that you can burn on, it is only replicated on pressed discs.
There are NO bad sectors on ps2 games, and you cant cut
and glue games it doesnt work that way.
So Basically what that means is your full of sh1t.

Yeah I agree with Jizmak the discs are pressed with a pressing machine. The bad sectors are only used for a burning process with the current burners. We get bad sector reads, because our burners can't read specific parts of a pressed disc. There is no way to manipulate a pressed disc with the current burners out.The only way to make a pressed disc is by using a press machine simple as that.
