I put "AWTY" in and it goes as far as 27% analyizing then freezes is this another one like lil black book where a patch had to be done i'm not sure what to do. I even go back and rebooted the system same thing but when i do another movie it's ok.
Help what do i need to do!

This movie is kind of new so I'm sure we are going to see many threads on this one too. Here is my outlook on the new encryptions. They will usually show up in the first 5%/10% of the rip process. If you get past that as in your case to 27% before the error, I would think more on the lines of a defective original. Bad pressed originals are becoming a very common item. DVD Decrypter is probably the best program for these bad pressings. Set Decrypter to Ignor read errors and also set it to use Brute force and it may get past the bad areas. If that fails then the dvd needs to be exchanged. Since I haven't actually tried this movie yet this is just a guess.

I got it to work by d-loading the lastest version of decrypter and with Nero it burn with no problems so thanx 4 all da inputs

so i take it WAS the encryption that was holding it back w/ shrink~
if i may so kindly ask, i am hesitant about purchasing this particular movie, is it worth buying? thanks. im glad that you got decrypter to work through the encryption, i am just inquiring about the actual movie itself...worth purchasing or shall i pass? :)

I went to see this one at the movies a while back. My wife sort of dragged me there an I didn't think I would like it. It ended up being pretty good. Just my opinion.

To burn this movie use the latest version of DVD Decrypter to rip it to the hard drive. Then use DVD Shrink and Any DVD in the back ground to rip from files.

I had the same problem so like everyone DVD Decrypter to the hard drive.
And I noticed the DVD Decrypter picked up and replaced 1 DUMMY File
HMMMM after that got the file with DVD Shrink wiht AnyDVD and now I have a nice copy sitting on the shelf next The Aviator

I also used AnyDVD and CloneDVD 1, only because it copied straight out and burned in 11:28 seconds, no encoding requierd, took no time at all.

Hi evryone,
I did the DVD Decrepter but after it's an iso file how do i open with the DVD Shrink...it's say's i have a error something like that can somone help me pls!!!!!

Keep using Shrink but use a work around. This is info I compiled a while ago and it still works today.
Okay peoples'.. Here is the latest info on DVDs and why you may be having problems backing up your DVDs.
Sony (my favorite company because a friend of mine will only buy Sony..) has created new unreadable sectors (RE2 and LBB). DVDShrink has yet to be updated to get past these sectors, but DVD Decrypter (updated version) and AnyDVD (http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html) have found the light.
The only movies that have this technology as of today are newer Columbia Pictures releases, but more studios may come on-line shortly. Anyway, you can download the latest DVD Decrypter and read the ISO. Then load the ISO into your Nero ImageDrive and open DVDShrink and back it up that way.
Or a better way if you love DVDShrink:
Go and download AnyDVD and run it in the background while using your
DVDShrink. DVDShrink will no longer work with RE2 or LBB unless you are running AnyDVD. DVDShrink needs to bring out an update. Until then AnyDVD is needed.

The Aviator gave me a little problem, I had copied another dvd first and when I was ready to do the Aviator, everything froze, so I tried it a few times and it still froze on me finally got pissed and shut everthing down and the next morning tried it and it worked LMAO it seems that TheAviator has to be started from step 1, insert DVD close the auto start, open AnyDVD 5.1.1.1 and then open DVD Shrink and go to open file and thats it, dont ask me why but my friend had the same problem,me I still tring to figure it out LOL
But its for sure you need AnyDVD 5.1.1.1 runnig in the back ground to do these new releases

Hi there,
i did copy aviator with DVD Shrink i had no problem...It's weird because my friend have the same DVD Shrink and sometime some DVD i can't copy and him the same he can !!!!Weird no ?????

The movie Aviator had no special protection that would cause DVDShrink to have a problem. There are a list of problematic movies that Shrink cannot handle and that is when you need to use DVDDecrypter and why you cannot use Shrink :~)

Hey all,
I've had the same issues with AWTY it does stop at exactly 27% with me too. I finally got one click dvd copy to rip it but it acted frozen but I left it alone and it did rip.

i am a newbie and cant do much, can u please be specific on how to download an iso file to Nero image drive then how would i use shrink to burn it, please be descriptive thank you
