movies jumping on playback

Hi can anyone help me my movies have a slight jump every few seconds on playback i thought it was when i was converting the file it was causing the problem but its like it in windows media player and media player classic am i missing codecs or is it somthing else.

I may be wrong, but it sounds like crap media to me. Again, use high quality media such as Fuji, Maxell, Verbatim, TY, Sony and TDK next time.

by source i assume you mean mpeg ect the one i download is AVI use winavi to convert and Nero to burn. i have just upgraded my mobo and processor to a better one than i had and i didnt have this problem before so i am a little confused cos i downloaded the same codec packs as before

Could be bad DVD(the one your burning onto)
I had about 8 bad DVD in a 50pk Maxcell 8x DVD-R pack.(job provides free)
I thought burning slower(2x) made a difference,but still the same results.
I bought Sony DVD's and NO problems burning at 8x

like i said above the film has the slight jump when played on windows media player and media player classic....could it be a crap download???

its probably the source file, try and re download it from another place and then see if the new one is corrupt or not

I have made a recent entry on this thread to bring it back to the first page for you.
I suggest that you read over the thread, and in particular those entries by Craig, as he actually works for Nero.

hi thanks for getting back andmerr i will download again and see if i still have the same problem.
Thanks drno for trying to help but i dont use nerovision express 3 to burn i use Nero buring rom and as i said before the problem is there before convert the movie from AVI to VOB.
