Just bought Swap Magic v3.6 PLUS + Slide Card...

Heyh! I just bought an Swap Magic 3.6 and I just want to be sure what to do when the package arrives at my place... So I've got 100% UN-modified PS2 V9 (SCPH-50004), and the Magic Disk was for (V1-V10) so it should be fine. So is there any specific stuff I have to do to my PS2 (I read one comment about the slide card, that you should take the front part from the "slide" away...?) and if that sentence is not BS, then plz tell me more about it, and how that front part should be removed properly... And does it matter are the Swap discs & backup dvd/cd's PAL or NTSC or do they have to be the same "type" (both, swap disc and backup, PAL or NTSC)? My friend's going to send one backup to test that does the thing work, he's going to burn the MGS3 backup to TDK DVD-r, so is that fine or...?
So I'm totally noob so if I didn't mention something what is important, then inform me!! I really want to get this working.. I should get the package here in 2 days... And I didn't want to make a post so long like this in any others threads, so I made a new one... Plz help me to understand the basics of these stuffs..! =) And don't tell me that I should buy flip top chase, because I'm not. =) At least
