Hey everybody, I'm trying to play backups of my PS2 games using the Slide Card/Swap Magic combo. I'm using 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs burned at 1x speed. I can get the games to load via Slide Card/Swap Magic, but the playback speed is extremely slow. It takes forever for games to load, and when they do, the video playback plays for a few seconds, pauses, then replays. This makes the games completely unplayable. I've tried non-burned games and I have no problems. When the backup disc is actually in use, it sounds like the drive is trying constantly to read the disc. What could the problem be? I'm buring the ISOs in Nero, and the discs always verify. However, though they load, the games are almost completely unplayable. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any help. Peace

Try burning at a faster speed, say 4x

I agree, try burning at 4X, that works great with my 8X discs
Also if you want you could try using DVD Decrypter, it is a great free program. I have Nero too but mostly use it when backing up movies, for games i use DVD Decrypter.

I've tried burning at 4x with no luck. I'll try DVD Decrypter although I don't really know what difference that will make over Nero, right? Thanks.
