i just got my spiderchip installed. is there a spiderchip menu when u first turn the xbox on? (because i cant tell if he install it right.)
i got: x-box v1.1

the xbox should boot to the Flashbios screen...if you see that you are good to go, just flash your chip with a hacked bios and install a new dashboard.

even with no disc in the tray the Flashbios screen should boot?
i get
memory
music
xbox live
settings
screen
does this mean the chip isnt install right?

don't use a disc, just turn the xbox on and if you have the chip installed correctly the xbox will boot to the Flashbios screen.
and no that is not the right screen, the xbox should not boot the retail bios, it should boot to Flashbios.
check out this flash tutorial...your xbox should boot to the same screen as shown in this tutorial.

ok, i took my x-box back to the guy that installed it. he said he fixed it. he said he saw the spiderchip menu screen and loaded it, but i turned it on at my house and spiderchip menu screen didnt show up? is this right?
will the menu only show up only when i put more bios on?

did the guy who install it flash a bios to the chip? once you flash a hacked bios on the chip the Flashbios screen will no longer appear...so if he did flash a hacked bios, you are no ready to install a dashboard...i would use slayer's autoinstaller to do this, it will do everything for you.

he said it loaded with out him doing anything. is that normal?

a hacked bios will not load itself...you have to flash the chip...have you noticed any change when you boot the xbox up? colors different, etc...?

almost all of the hacked bios's change the colors and stuff during boot up...so my guess is that there is not a hacked bios on your chip...so you will need to get the spiderchip flashbios screen to appear and flash a hacked bios...you need to ask him if he flashed a bios to the chip...is this guy a modchip installer?
