On some of the movies i burn, on playback there will freeze at points in the movie, most of the time will start playing after skipping part of the movie. and sometimes not do anything...
i've tried the movie in different players, but the same thing...I set the burn speed to the slowest setting, and re-authored to have min compression, Any idea's? HELP

What brand of media are you using?

what program are you using to burn with, most of the time when using dvd+r people will booktype the disc to dvd-rom to better play in dvd players. some burning programs have this feature and your burner must be able to booktype.

Either it's crap media, too fast on burning speed or your stand alone player is more than 1-2 years old. Like "Bigfatboy" said; when burning using DVD+R disc, you must booktype it into DVD-ROM. This method works better with nearly all PS2 consoles and most of the stand alone dvd players.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

I am using a lite-on Duel 4x drive LDW-411S (i believe), the program i'm using is DVD Shrink, and the ONLY Media I can get movies to burn to is TEON DVD+R (from Staples). 70% of all the movies i burn are ok, but some some of the movies will stick/skip, mostly into the 2nd half of the movie, and seems to get worse as the movie goes on. I've tried putting my burn speed to 1x, I've tried to re-author the movie and only burn the movie itself, I'm not sure what "booktype" is, or how to do it. ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS helpful.

I agree, Teon is made mostly by crapola CMC Magnetics, lowest form of media out there and is most likely the cause of your problem.

You can use the lite-on booktype utility (free) to booktype +r media to dvd-rom. Here's the link. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=83441

I think you are might be burning too close to the edge. You should go into preferences and change DvD size down to 4400mb or less instead of the 4.7Gb feature.

That might help as the outer edge is where poor quality media suffers the most but doubt it will resolve all problems. Another drawback of useing poor quality media is, it might play ok right after you burn to it but over time more than likely it won't.
