No you will have to buy something. I have heard that you can load them with the gameshark cheat disc if you have it, and if it is an older (not slim) PS2 you can make a slide card.

you need something to stop the game from spinning before you open the tray.you have to get the ps2 system id(which is on the game disc) you know when the game starts you get the playstation 2 logo and that bleep noise.then you swap out the game.with a ps2 original there is no time to swap out disc as the game keeps spinning.swap magic stops after the system id allowing you to open the tray.unless you know how to copy ps2 id onto your blanks(which nobody knows how to and im pretty sure it is impossible anyway)you are going to have to buy something to get backups to work.
