@ArthurA

What kind of media are using to burn with, skips, stuttering and freezes 99% of the time is bad quality media.

Wished I could help you on that one but the latest version of DVD Decrypter and the latest verion of DVDSHRINK did the job for me and many others, I suggest that you check for updates for those 2 programs and try them again. Don't run AnyDVD in the background, I'm not saying that is the problem but just give another try at how I did it. Here it is:
Quote:
(1) I ran the latest version of DVD Decrypter and ripped the files to the harddrive.
(2) I used the latest version of DVDSHRINK.
(3) I used Nero to burn it with.

Have you updated your firmware. When you say Decrypter did not work for you, do you mean you could not rip or burn?

I had some Maxell DVD+R media that I bought a month ago and they all worked fine. I can tell you that 2 months ago I had 2 dvd+r burners 1 was made by NEC and the other by Philips, and I could only use certain media like FUJIFIULM media would work in both burners but Memorex and many other brand names would only work in one burner and not the other. Since then I have purchased 2 new DVD burners, both NEC. The old ones only burned @ 2.4x these burn @ 16x and can burn + or - media. I do believe that you should check for firmware upgrade from the manufacturer of your burner b/c my old burners had no firmware upgrades and had many problems with certain media.

Hello everybody. I've found a way to get pass the read errors on the movie "ARE WE THERE YET"! Ok does any body remember DVD Ripper. During cracking there was a certain method to do when you have to crack the css manually. You had to play the file in question which would be VTS_15_1. Play that file with Power DVD and choose and decrpyt this same file using DVD Decrypter. You see as long as the file is playing this certain part of the movie it is unlocked therefore it can be decrypted.

1. Use dvd decrpyter and copy to hard drive
2. when you reach the file giving read errors write down that individual file
3. skip the file and copy all other files using decrypter
4. open the individual file on the actual dvd disc and play that file
5. go into file mode on DVD Decrypter and choose the same file in question of error
6. decrypt that file while the player is playing the file in question.

Good luck.

I didn't haved any problem with burning that movie. I have an old I/O Magic DVDR/RW, and use the method stated by WALNUT, except I just used good ol' fashioned Easy CD Creator to burn.

Extra Note: With some on my movies I burned I had to tell my burner to burn both the TS VIDEO & TS AUDIO even though there is nothing in the TS AUDIO file. So, with that knowledge, I just automatically burn both to disc and haven't had any problems.

HINT: If you have the lastest DVD Decrypter, you don't need AnyDVD, so don't waste your money.

just bear in mind DVD Decrypter has been shutdown by the greedy industry, so more updates. It'll have to be AnyDVD, until that gets shutdown no doubt..

Can someone tell me why I cannot copy the movie are we there yet? I am using AnyDVD then I click on dvdshrink to analyse. Once its done analysing it I click on backup. But the problem is once it is done copying I only have the director's comments not the actual movie. Please help to solve this crazy mystery. I have tried everything from using decrypter without removing anything upon compression and its still won't work for me. I just noticed that the Jacket is giving me the same problem. Please anyone out there your help would be greatly appreciated.

there would have been 2 titles to choose from, you must have chosen the wrong one in the reauthor stage...

When you go to backup your movie in audio uncheck the AC3 2 channel in Shrink and just keep the 5.1 sound. Your standalone is probably defaulting to 2 channel which is where the director's comments are, try using your dvd standalone remote and hit the audio button and see if you can get rid of the comments. :~)

One of the things you can do with Shrink is preview the audio. Start your movie in the preview window and right click anywhere in the window.

This opens a small menu. Select Audio from this menu and then select one of the tracks to preview. Repeat theis process to listen to each track. Once you hear the track you want, make sure it's box is checked.
