Okay, I seem to be having the problem of my DVD's skipping when I play them on my DVD player. Originally when I had this problem I was told this is because of poor quality in the media I was using so then I was recommended to Ridata media but I am still having the same problems. I don't understand because I am burning at the slowest possible speed 1x and using DVD shrink but I am still having problems. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

might just be that your dvd player doesn't like these discs. That doesn't necessarily mean that it is bad media. Try the discs on different players. Try it on your computer in your burner.

They almost always seem to work well on my computer. But for some reason skip on my DVD player. My DVD Player is also an older player, would that be a problem? If so, does anyone know why they also skip on the DVD players of some of my friends which are newer?

I'd say try different media, or get a different player. I hear Apex players will play anything you throw at them. I'd suggest changing your blank media though.

A lot of older players aren't very good at reading burned DVDs, and as they age they'll tend to get worse at it. You may want to try cleaning the lense before you give up on it though.
